If you are interested in golf, and have thought about learning to play, then we have a unique opportunity for you. For the first time ever, the SHAPE Golf Association (SGA) , in close coordination with the Royal Golf Club du Hainaut (RGCH), is organizing a series of events to give you an opportunity to get acquainted with the beautiful game of golf.
Tuesday April 17th : From 1730-1830 we will be hosting a “Social Introduction to Golf,” for the entire SHAPE Community (but over the age of 6) at the Performing Arts Centre (PAC) in Building 207 in the Industrial Area. Topics that will be presented are amongst others: why one would want to play golf, what the learning process is, what the social benefits are for children, etc. Professional Instructors from RGCH, as well as SGA Committee members will be present to answer your questions, and you will even get a chance to hit some balls.   Note: those that are interested in attending one of the follow-on ‘hands-on’ practical sessions below will be required to register for that session.
Friday April 20th 1530-1730, or Saturday April 21st 1500-1700: This is your chance to have a real ‘hands-on’ experience with the game of golf. These introductory practical sessions will be given at the RGCH practice facility/driving range, located at Rue de la Verrerie 2, 7050 Erbisoeul (as you enter the small road leading to the golf club keep going straight for about 500 meters and you will see the driving range on your left).

NOTE : Seats in the Performing Arts Centre are limited, so we would kindly request that you register for the 17 April event by sending an email to sgagolf2015@gmail.com stating your last name, first name, and the numbers of persons attending. These details will be used to build the attendee list for the 17th.

The RGCH Head Pro, Bart Bollens, and his team (they speak English, French and Dutch) will be there to introduce you to the basics of golf with various fun exercises. Additionally, SGA Committee members will be present to answer any questions on the SGA, our Handbook, membership conditions, rules and etiquette.
